My husband got offered a permanent job with the company he was contracting with and they gave him a 33% pay increase plus benefits from what he made as a contractor. That was miraculous, as usually from my understanding when a contractor gets hired as a permanent employee, the pay is reduced because he now has benefits. Not the case for my husband. Even his recruiter commented that that was very unusual.
We bought our first new car in May, and it turned out even better than if we had gotten it back in January, which we couldn't get the car. The whole process in May was simply very easy and it was a great car buying experience. We then also bought the car my husband had been driving at the Kelly Blue Book rate, which was great.
Both the kids ended up the 2014/15 school year with straight A's and being involved in many things.
In June, I started and explored doing Beachbody workouts, as well as aimed to do some type of physical exercise every day no matter what. It could be 1 minute of exercise or up to hours (i.e., hiking). This really changed how I viewed exercise and made me more successful.
In July, we moved into our own home and out of my father's. It was great to no longer have our living room, study, exercise area, bedroom, library all in one room. The house is in a wonderful neighborhood with mature trees and our house backs up to a beautiful area, not homes. Our home is much closer to the kids' school, my husband's work, and church.
My relationship with my parents have deepened and I enjoy visiting them at least once a week and running errands. Back in April, I experienced a health scare, which led me to giving up my job and getting back into EMDR therapy to help me with getting rid of various traumas in my life.
It's been a great year for getting my soul wounds healed, seeing my relationships change, seeing myself change, seeing great changes in parenting and my marriage due to getting my soul healed. It's given me a new release on life.
